SILICONE MATERIALS

Silicone is a high polymer synthetic material containing silicon (SI) in its molecular structure. It is generally referred to as polysiloxane with four categories, including silicone oil (silicone grease, silicon emulsion, silicon surfactant), silicone rubber (HCR, LSR), silicone resin, silane coupling agent.

The main chain of the silicone polymer is a stable skeleton in which silicon atoms and oxygen atoms are alternately arranged, and the side chain is connected to an organic group such as a methyl group, a phenyl group, a vinyl group or the like through a silicon atom.

Due to the special structure and composition of its molecules, silicone combines the properties of inorganic substances with the function of organic matter. It not only has high temperature resistance, weathering resistance, ozone resistance, electrical insulation, and flame retardancy. It is non-toxic, non-corrosive and physiologically inert, and has the characteristics of easy processing of organic polymer materials.

According to different requirements, silicone can be made to meet various applications: from oily liquids to elastomer, from flexible resins to rigid plastics, or to secondary processing into various products. Silicone products have these excellent properties, so they are widely used in aerospace, electrical and electronic, construction, transportation, chemical, textile, food, light industry, medical and other industries. Among them, silicone is mainly used for sealing, bonding, lubrication and coating. Layer, surface activity, demoulding, defoaming, foam suppression, waterproof, moisture proof, inert filling, etc.
