SILICONE COLORANT

Silicone colorant is also called silicone color master batch. It is a new kind of polymer material coloring agent. It is composed of pigment or dye, carrier and additive.

What is the basic ingredient of silica gel color masterbatch?

- Pigments or dyes.

Pigment is divided into organic pigments and inorganic pigments. 

Common organic pigments are phthalocyanine red, phthalocyanine blue and phthalocyanine green, fast red, yellow, polymer permanent purple, azo red, etc.

Common inorganic pigments are: cadmium red, cadmium yellow, titanium dioxide, carbon black, iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, etc.

- Carrier

The carrier is the matrix of the color master batch. In order to achieve better compatibility, special master batch is usually mixed the same grade of the silicone rubber as the carrier.

- Dispersant

The melting point of the dispersant should be lower than that of the silicone rubber, and has good compatibility with the silicone rubber and good affinity with the pigment.The most commonly used dispersants are polyethylene, low molecular wax, and stearates.

- Additive

Such as flame retardant, whitener, antibacterial, antistatic, antioxidant and other varieties, unless required by the customer, otherwise color master batch generally does not contain the above additives.
